Bio

In his first ever role, and introduction to acting, Steve Wyeth was cast as a Town Cryer, in a very rinky-dink 4-H play about Sir Lancelot and a Dragon. His primary qualification for the role? Being very loud, and looking good in tights!

Through his teens, Steve appeared in mostly short s plays and skits through 4-H, but also some longer shows with his local community theater in Monroe, WI. In college he began acting in earnest, appearing in many shows put on by the UW Superior Theater Department, including: Antigone, the Actor’s Nightmare, Tartuffe, and the Crucible. In Madison, he has appeared in Madison Shakespeare Company’ rendition of Julius Caesar.

In 2014 Steve auditioned for, and became a member of Atlas Improv Company, in Madison, WI, where he performs every weekend, teaches classes, and coaches independent Improv teams. He has also taken his Improv on the road, performing in cities like Washington DC, and Tampa Bay, FL. Steve has also dabbled in stand up comedy, and was amongst the top forty finalists in the Madison’s Funniest Comic competition, in 2018. He has also appeared on television; Steve was the co-host of the WDSE PBS show Twin Ports Tonight, hosted by Andrew Kirov for two seasons starting in 2018. When Kirov (a friend from college) was hired by UW Superior to produce a Covid-Holiday-Sketch show in 2020, Steve was brought onto the writing staff, and had three of his sketches featured in the show.

In April 2023, Steve joined the Staff at Encore Studio for the Performing Arts, where he hopes to make an impact as part of the talented team.
