Bio

Bridget Doxtater is thrilled to join the merry band of artists at Encore! Bridget is an actor, director, makeup artist, and playwright based in Madison, WI. Her love affair with the theater began in junior high, and since then she has been fortunate to work with and study under many talented individuals who were generous with their knowledge. Bridget strives to always keep learning new things and polishing her skills, whether she is on stage or backstage, and enjoys the synergy of working with a great group. Bridget was a founding member of CAB Theatre in Baraboo, and in Madison has performed and worked backstage with groups including KR Theater, Madison Theater Guild, and Strollers. Bridget was twice nominated for Bartell Awards in acting, and won the Best "Wow!" Moment Bartell Award in 2019 for her creative makeup work. She was also once privileged to take part in an acting masterclass workshop with theater & TV producer/director Edwin Sherin. Professionally, Bridget has worked as a makeup artist/manager at Wisconsin Scaryland, and also as a special effects prop maker at Dapper Cadaver. She has also worked in the nonprofit human services sector. In her down time, she enjoys cooking, fiber arts, and cinema. Bridget thanks her husband and daughter for their ongoing support of her creative adventures, and for all of the love and sidesplitting laughs they provide.
