As Encore’s founding artistic director and resident playwright, Kelsy began her tenure at Encore in May of 2000. With many years experience managing human service programs, working as a professional musician and as a producing and directing playwright, Kelsy took her experience, her MBA and her vision of what a professional theatre company for people with disabilities should look like and put it to work. As a composer, proficient in playing many instruments, Kelsy offers diversity equal to the range of the stories told and the talents of the Encore actors and staff.
